Beaches

Northern Sardinia offers beautiful beaches with fine sand, crystal-clear water, and views of rugged cliffs.

Around the apartment, you'll find several great spots for swimming — from quiet family beaches to wide stretches of coast perfect for long walks.

Baia Verde

  • Distance: 2 km, 5 minutes by car
  • Access: Possible on foot; during the summer season, parking at the beach or in the nearby pine forest is recommended.

The nearest beach to the apartment is called Baia Verde.
Outside the main season, it can be reached on foot by a pleasant walk (approx. 2 km).
In summer, it's better to go by car and park directly at the beach (paid parking) or in the adjacent pine forest.

The beach has fine sand, and thanks to a small river flowing into the sea, it's perfect for children, who can safely play in the shallow waters without waves.
There's also the Curumba Beach Bar, offering drinks, snacks (toasts, salads, baguettes) and ice cream.

From the beach, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the historic town of Castelsardo, which rises above the rocky coastline.

Foce del Coghinas

  • Distance: 7 km, approximately 10 minutes by car
  • Access: Parking available near the river mouth, walking trail

The Foce del Coghinas beach is a unique place where the freshwater Coghinas River flows into the sea, creating a stunning natural landscape.
Sandy dunes, calm river lagoons and the open sea with bigger waves make this beach a great choice for nature lovers and water-sport enthusiasts.

The river area is ideal for birdwatching and peaceful walks, while the sea attracts surfers and visitors looking for larger waves.
It's a quiet beach that offers plenty of space for relaxation even during the high season.

San Pietro a Mare

  • Distance: 4 km, 8 minutes by car
  • Access: Possible on foot from Baia Verde or by car (paid parking at the beach).

This beautiful long sandy beach near Valledoria can be reached on foot along the coast from Baia Verde or by car in about 5 minutes.
Parking is available directly at the beach (paid) or a short walk away.

The Coghinas River flows into the sea here, creating shallow areas and small lagoons that are perfect for children's play.
You can also rent pedal boats or kayaks and enjoy a quiet paddle on the calm water.

You can swim either in the shallow river lagoon or further out in the open sea with waves.
The beach stretches for over 10 km, from the rocky headlands in the southwest all the way to the northern coast.

Spiaggia di Li Cossi

  • Distance: 35 km, approximately 45 minutes by car
  • Access: Short scenic trail (about 10–15 minutes on foot)

Spiaggia di Li Cossi is one of the most beautiful beaches in northern Sardinia.
It lies in the Costa Paradiso area, surrounded by red rocks that form a naturally protected bay with crystal-clear water.
The beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling thanks to its calm sea and sandy seabed.

Access is only on foot via a short panoramic path starting from the parking area in Costa Paradiso, taking about 10–15 minutes.
On site, you'll find a small snack bar and sunbed and parasol rentals.
Li Cossi is ideal for those seeking a quiet and picturesque spot away from the main tourist routes.

We recommend bringing enough water and refreshments, as services in the area are limited.

Valle della Luna (Moon Valley)

  • Key features: Stunning natural scenery with impressive granite formations

Valle della Luna, or "Moon Valley," is one of the most unique natural sites in northern Sardinia.
Located on the Capo Testa peninsula, it's known for its imposing granite rocks, shaped and polished by wind and sea over millennia, giving the landscape an almost otherworldly appearance.

In the past, this area was a favorite retreat for hippie communities seeking peace and harmony with nature.
Today, it's a popular destination for hiking, watching sunsets, and exploring rocky caves.

The valley's raw and untouched landscape forms a kind of natural amphitheatre, sculpted by nature itself.
With no artificial lighting, it's also an ideal place for stargazing.

A walk through Valle della Luna is a truly unforgettable experience — whether you visit during the day to admire the rock shapes or at sunset, when the granite glows warm orange in the fading light.
